We received word that the Family Prevention Services Act H.R. 5456 (Family First) that was attached to the 21st Century Cures Act has been removed from this piece of legislation. Family First is no longer attached to the Cures Act.
In other words, your voices have been heard!
It is our hope that if Family First returns in the future that it will not contain the restrictions that limit the long-term placement of children in a residential setting. We believe that children deserve to have all options of care available to them.
