Good Steward Scholarship

Supporting education and vocational training for those served by Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina.

WHO CAN APPLY

​

The Good Steward Scholarship is open to anyone who has been in care at Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina at any time (past or present up to 25 years of age) or who has been served by any BCH ministries, including those who spent time in Residential Care/Cottage Care, Foster Care under a BCH license on our campuses or in individual homes, time in care at Cameron Boys Camp or Camp Duncan for Girls, children adopted through Christian Adoption Services, and Birth Moms who have been served through Christian Adoption Services.

ELIGIBLE PROGRAMS

Applications can be made for:

  • Vocational certificate program

  • Two-Year Community College accredited degree program

  • Four-Year Degree from an accredited college or university

WHAT THE SCHOLARSHIP MAY COVER

Based on need:

  • Tuition

  • Books

  • Meal Package

  • Room and Board

  • Electronics

  • Special equipment for vocational programs

  • Tutoring

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS

  • FAFSA must be completed.

  • School must provide documentation showing unmet financial need.

  • Federal aid and other scholarships must be verified.

  • Students must maintain a 2.25 GPA.

  • Grades must be submitted for continued funding.

PAYMENT DETAILS

Tuition, meal packages, and room and board will be paid directly to the educational institution.

Arrangements will be made to purchase books and electronic equipment.

A one-time computer purchase may be granted if needed for coursework.

Before beginning the application, applicants should have:

  • FAFSA completion confirmation

  • Statement of unmet financial need

  • Academic transcripts (if applicable)

  • School acceptance documentation

  • Itemized cost estimates for books/equipment

Applications accepted March 1–March 31.
