Guatemala gift challenge met amid remaining needs

Thank you for joining us in caring for the "least of these: through out Good Shepherd Ministries in Guatemala, an affiliate of Baptist Children's Homes of North Carolina. Thank to your faithful support, hundreds of lives have been saved, both physically and spiritually. Thank you!

We are excited to share with you that we have met the $100,000.00 challenge and raised the $200,000.00 needed to complete the Mae Home! Wonderful volunteer groups are gifting us with their time and talents on a regular basis, however, we still have openings for mission teams so we hope you are already planning your mission trip for next year.

There are several urgent needs of which we want to make you aware. One of our greatest needs is always operating funds which enable us to care for those whom God has entrusted to our care. Other needs, at this time, include: $45,000.00 needed to purchase a 20 passenger van. Funds are also needed to support an additional missionary couple to serve alongside Roger and Vicki Grossman (the missionary couple who already serve on-site).

Thank you for your prayerful consideration, as you review your year-end donations, of an extra gift to sustain this vital ministry.

Because you gave...children live! A baby, only a few days old, was found in a gutter along a public street left to die of exposure. Another baby arrives, several months old, but weighing that of a newborn due to malnutrition and abuse. a two-year-old, who had been beaten and placed in a garbage can, immediately melted the hearts of all who held him. Because you care, children are being given life in our orphanage in Guatemala!

Because you gave, 53 professions of faith were made last year through our Good Shepherd Ministry in Guatemala. While in our care, children hear the gospel and are pointed to Jesus Christ as their ultimate healer and hope in life! You are making a difference for the kingdom!

You enable us to provide a refuge where each precious life, who comes to us, can find the promise of peace, hope and love.

From our home to yours, have a wonderful, Christ-filled Christmas.

Merry Christmas!
