McNeill receives "Outstanding Woman in Business award



Nancy McNeill, Baptist Children’s Homes’ (BCH) Vice President of Human Resources (HR) and Compliance, was named by the Triad Business Journal a 2018 “Outstanding Woman In Business.” The award is presented to women who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, business acumen, mentorship, and community service.

At BCH, McNeill is responsible for the oversight of human resources, compensation and benefits, payroll, workers compensation, Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI), NC State Licensure, and Council On Accreditation (COA) oversight. McNeill oversees more than 300 staff members, ensuring compliance, employee engagement and retention.

McNeill is certified as Senior Professional of Human Resources through the Human Resource Certification Institute and also Senior Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resource Management.

At the Triad Business Journal’s April award ceremony, McNeill was recognized for her career and community achievements. Standout professional accomplishments include McNeill helping create and build BCH’s HR and Compliance department and helping lead BCH to consecutive successful COA re-accreditation campaigns in 2011 and 2015.

Outside of BCH, McNeill has been especially active with her church, First Baptist of High Point. She recently served two terms as Diaconate Chair, helped guide the church’s personnel and stewardship committees, and was a key member of the church’s 2014-15 Senior Minister Search Committee.

McNeill is a true servant-leader. She is a tireless advocate for serving children, adults and families who have been hurt by abuse, neglect, abandonment, or otherwise have special needs with which BCH is ideally equipped to help.

McNeill and her golden doodle Pearl visit nursing homes, assisted living facilities, colleges, schools, and civic organizations bringing love and smiles to many facing life’s challenges.

McNeill and her husband Phil have two married daughters; she especially enjoys spending time with granddaughter Jillian and grandson Murphy.
