During Easter 2016, BCH staff members and several members of BCH’s Board of Trustees journeyed to the Good Shepherd Children’s Home, BCH’s affiliate orphanage in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. While there, trustees met 13-year-old Santos, the oldest boy at the orphanage who asked Jesus into his heart soon after arriving. And shortly after the group returned to the states, 13-year-old Esmeralda also made a decision for Christ. The group not only spent time with the children but completed a number of projects at the orphanage and Good Shepherd’s nearby medical clinic.
