Charity and Children's Top 10 Stories
Since 2000, BCH provided group homes to special needs adults through its Developmental Disabilities Ministry (DDM). Care to men and women is provided through nine cottages in six communities. Today, the program is at 100% capacity punctuating not only the need for the ministry but the exceptional quality of residential care offered. DDM is designed to provide special needs adults a safe living environment that includes opportunities for Christian spiritual enrichment, preparation of nutritious meals, transportation, and enhancement of daily independent living and social skills. The program promotes maximum independence and individual growth with residents having avenues for inclusion in their local communities.
