Charity & Children is the monthly publication of the Baptist Children's Homes of North Carolina. The newspaper highlights the changed lives of children and families served by the ministry. Informative and timely, Charity & Children's articles, news, anecdotes, and editorials touch the hearts and encourage the spirits of friends of children everywhere.

The history of Charity & Children extends back to 1887, two years after the first child was accepted into care at Mills Home. John Haymes Mills started publishing a newspaper at the campus in order to tell the story of the ministry's work, its needs, and how people could help. Since that time, dedicated editors have been faithful to spreading the word of the work of Baptist Children's Homes.
