This was the answer five-year-old Andrew gave his cottage parents when they asked what he and his twin brother Adam wanted for Christmas last year.
Christmas can be a hard time for the boys and girls in our care. Even though many come from abusive homes, they still miss their families. Little Andrew and Adam came to us dirty, tired and sad. But despite all of their heartaches, they were thinking about their daddy.
When Christmas arrived and the twins unwrapped Christmas toys, their eyes grew big when they saw two boxes that must have been boots. They were thrilled to open the gifts and find new cowboy boots –– ones just like their daddy’s.
“This is the best Christmas ever!” the boys exclaimed.
It is impossible to provide a safe, warm home, wrapped presents under the tree, and share the Christmas story about Jesus and God’s great love without your faithful support.
