Orphanage experiences growth as needs rise

Guatemala children continue to find refuge at the Good Shepherd Children’s Home. The orphanage in Quetzaltenango rescues boys and girls of all ages who are victims of the country’s poverty that leaves boys and girls abandoned and/or parentless.

Opportunities are being explored with Christian churches in the region

to provide long-term homes for many of the children. Some of the older children have received scholarships to a Christian school

in the area.

An additional cottage, made possible through a matching gift donation from supporters Jay and Scarlett Westmoreland, is being built to serve more children.
