[Top 10 of 2015] #8 Needs at Guatemala orphanage greater than anticipated

Charity and Children's Top 10 Stories

The Good Shepherd Children’s Home in Quetzaltenango (also known as Xela), Guatemala welcomed its first child on October 17, 2014. Today, BCH’s affiliate orphanage is home to 17 children ranging from only a few weeks old to age 13. BCH leadership knew the needs of the Quiché children were tremendous, but their circumstances have proven even more desperate. The majority of the babies at the orphanage have been abandoned with many found in destitute locations including trash dumps, outdoor wash stations, the woods, and on river banks. A new child care worker has been recently added to help. You can help.
