Lenoir Area Family Services
Baptist Children's Homes' Lenoir Area Family Services serves the following counties: Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Lincoln, Watauga, Wilkes.
Noel Home in Lenoir offers a transitional living residential service providing care, counseling and life-skills education for older girls aiding them to be successful and self-sufficient as they prepare for independent living as adults. The home provides a stable, safe living environment with a strong educational focus for five girls ages 16 to 21. Noel Home offers services specifically to girls who do not have active support from their families or a safe, viable living arrangement.
Care House, also in Lenoir, provides a unique teen mother/baby parent education program in a group home setting. Single mothers learn parenting, vocational, and educational skills while living with their babies. Care House offers twenty-four hour group care and an on-site, five-star state rated day care.

Centerview Baptist Church in Belmont recently held a shower for Care House. On May 31, twelve ladies from the church delivered gifts from the shower to Care House - lots of paper products, diapers, and gift bags for the teen moms at Care House. The ladies enjoyed a tour and visiting with staff and residents before continuing their journey up the mountain. ... more

On Friday, June 6, Lenoir Area staff members invaded the physician's offices at Mulberry Pediatrics in Lenoir. Believing that food is always a good way to discuss concerns, staff took lunch to the entire medical staff. ... more
