Western Area Family Services
Baptist Children's Homes' Western Area Family Services provides services for the following North Carolina counties: Avery, Buncombe, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania, Yancey.
Broyhill Home in Clyde offers residential services to school aged boys and girls. Child care workers live with residents in the cottages. Broyhill Home provides emergency care, clarification/value change, continuing care, and after care services.
Haywood Mountain Home in Waynesville, a partnership with Haywood County, is a community-based group home for boys and girls providing emergency care.
Moody Ministries in Franklin is comprised of two group homes. Drake Cottage provides clarification/value change and after care services for boys. Moody Home offers a highly structured Level III program.
Truett Baptist Association Children’s Home is located in Clay County near Hayesville and serves children in the custody of the Department of Social Services from Clay, Graham, and Cherokee Counties. It is licensed for six boys and girls ages six and older.

Jean Stines and a group from Arden Frist Baptist Church visited the Broyhill Home campus on Sunday afternoon. The youth arrived at 3:30 to play a game of ball and participate in other activities with our youth.... more

The 29th annual "Road Race" was held on September 29th at Broyhill Home. Youth at Broyhill, as well as Haywood Mountain Home and Drake Cottage, participated in the race. It began at 4:00 with a two-mile run for young participants and a one-mile run for older ones. ... more
