Father-Son Camp Out Weekend at Cameron
04.29.2009
Cameron Boys Camp recently held its father-son camp out. The campers' dads came for the weekend for a time of fellowship with their sons and each other. The dads stayed at one of the campsites, had a cook out and spent some time fishing. They joined camp for chapel on Sunday and spent the day with their sons fishing all day. Some of them also watched the Carolina game with their sons. The campers had a great time and used that weekend to build a better relationship with their dads.
Camp Frontiersmen's River Trip Adventure
04.22.2009
The Frontiersmen group at Cameron Boys Camp, led by their chiefs Karl Nebbia, Jordan Bell and Luke Rotramel, successfully completed a four-day, 28-mile canoeing trip on the Lumber/Pee-Dee River. The group had a lot of fun building each other up and learning canoeing skills as well as trip routines. They saw several snakes and even had one for dinner. The challenges they encountered on the river taught them perseverance as they learned to meet their needs whatever they may be. Theeir adventure also set the group up for a bigger trip.
