Richard Poteat Celebrates 40 Years with BCH

01.26.2010

Richard Poteat was honored by his co-workers in celebration of his 40th year of employment with Baptist Children's Homes of North Carolina's Kennedy Home in Kinston. Richard’s employment began on January 15, 1970. Richard was asked questions about his many years at Kennedy Home. As always, he was very positive and supportive about his love and appreciation of BCH stating that “they have been very good to me.” We appreciate Richard for his excellent leadership and are proud to have him represent Kennedy Home and BCH, not only in the churches and Baptist organizations, but throughout the communities and state.

BCH Trustee Shares Christmas Day with Kennedy Home Children

01.21.2010

BCH Trustee Ken Hailger invited the Kennedy Home youth who were not able to visit away from campus on Christmas day, and their child care workers, to share Christmas day with his family at their home in Wilmington. They enjoyed a Christmas feast, received wonderful gifts and had a lot of fun – especially in the indoor swimming pool. Mr. Haigler provided a very memorable Christmas for the children and staff.
