Mills Home Friends of Children Workday

On September 5th, more than 115 church volunteers came to Mills Home for our Fall "Friends of Children" workday. The campus was literally cleaned from top to bottom. The cottages received a thorough cleaning as well other buildings on campus. A lot of landscaping was accomplished in a short amount of time. Work ended at noon and everyone came together in the teen room at the campus gym to watch the this year's Thanksgiving Offering DVD - Growing Hope. It was enjoyed by everyone. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a lunch of sub sandwiches, chips, drinks and ice cream. Most of all, everyone enjoyed the fellowship with the residents. Several of the groups made plans that day to come back again during year for special projects. Mills Home residents and staff are constantly amazed at the support and love shown by others.
