Sunday Fun at Broyhill Home

Jean Stines and a group from Arden Frist Baptist Church visited the Broyhill Home campus on Sunday afternoon. The youth arrived at 3:30 to play a game of ball and participate in other activities with our youth. At 5:00 a hot dog and hamburger supper was provided by the church for everyone. It was such a beautiful fall afternoon and everyone enjoyed the weather, the fellowship and the food. Thank you Arden First Baptist for a great afternoon!

Broyhill Home Organizes Annual Road Race

The 29th annual "Road Race" was held on September 29th at Broyhill Home. Youth at Broyhill, as well as Haywood Mountain Home and Drake Cottage, participated in the race. It began at 4:00 with a two-mile run for young participants and a one-mile run for older ones. The two-mile run went around Jones Cove Road and back to Broyhill. Twins from Frizzell Cottage came in first in the two mile run. Medals were awarded to first through third places in all three races. Linda Morgan ran all three races and what a good job she did (she was way too old to win any medals, though)! T-shirts were also given to everyone A hot dog supper was held after the races were completed. Everyone had a good time!
