Cottages Attend "Least of These" Tour
09.22.2008
Haywood and Wall Cottages from Broyhill Home attended a "Least of These" tour at Western Carolina University on Sunday, September 21. This concert was sponsored by the Macon County Baptist Association and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Included in the tour were Newsong, Aaron Shust, Francesca Batistelli and guest speaker Tony Nolan. A girl from Haywood Cottage was saved! The event was an awesome experience!
Pickin' Up 'taters
09.22.2008
The Western Area was pickin' up 'taters early on Saturday, September 20. We left the Broyhill office at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday to head to Robbinsville for "Tater Pickin' Day." Every year New Hope Baptist Church in Robbinsville tends a field of potatoes for us. This is an excellent opportunity for the children to see just what people out there do for us and to be a part of a community effort to give to the Children's Homes. After getting gritty and dirty in the field, we were provided with a great lunch and fellowship! We want to thank New Hope Baptist Church for this experience and for their tremendous donation of potatoes for the Children's Homes.
Western Area Residents Attend College Football Game
09.15.2008
Yellow Mountain Baptist Church provided a pizza/coke tailgate party for the residents and staff members from the Western Area on Saturday, September 13th and provided football tickets for everyone. Following the tailgate party a time of fellowship was shared. Western Carolina University hosted Liberty University in a great night of football! Liberty University won the game, but everyone had a great time and enjoyed the fellowship. We thank you Yellow Mountain Baptist Church for including us in this night of fun!
