The leadership and staff of Baptist Children’s Homes on North Carolina (BCH) place top priority on a Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) plan which propels it to become a world class model of excellence in child and family care. A well-defined, implemented, and continuously evaluated PQI plan enables BCH to develop a path of work that is clear, flexible and responsive, pace setting, and secure. BCH is committed to providing quality services to children and families. PQI is a method of regular monitoring, evaluation, planning, remediation, and improvement that ensures that the institution accomplishes its commitment to excellence.

Baptist Children’s Homes Receives Its Reaccreditation by Council on Accreditation - March 24, 2011

After over a year of preparation and a site visit by three experienced peer reviewers, Baptist Children’s Homes of N.C. has received its reaccreditation by the Council on Accreditation (COA). Not only was BCH reaccredited, but the agency was expedited through the accreditation process as a result of not receiving any out of compliance ratings. BCH received a perfect score of all “1’s,” on each of the 667 standards that were reviewed.

"COA accreditation is an objective and reliable verification that provides confidence and support to an organization’s service recipients, board members, staff and community partners. The COA accreditation process involves a detailed review and analysis of both an organization’s administrative operations and its service delivery practices. All are “measured” against national standards of best practice. These standards emphasize services that are accessible, appropriate, culturally responsive, evidence based, and outcomes-oriented. In addition, they confirm that the services are provided by a skilled and supported workforce and that all individuals are treated with dignity and respect.
