Administrative Staff
August 03, 2007
THOMASVILLE – Wendy Campbell has assumed the position of Coordinator of Program Development and Compliance with Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina (BCH) in Thomasville. The High Point resident joined BCH’s administrative staff on August 1.
“I noticed early on that God has His hand on the ministries of BCH,” Campbell said. “I feel blessed to be joining such a successful organization, and I look forward to making a difference in the lives of children and families.”
Campbell’s primary responsibilities will be to assist the statewide institution with new program development, program licensing, billable services, and compliance with parameters set by the Council On Accreditation (COA). COA is an international accrediting organization that partners with human service organizations such as BCH and helps them provide the highest level of services to children and families.
A native of Maiden, Campbell graduated Wingate University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. She previously worked as a senior social worker with Baptist Camp at Oak Island.
In addition, Campbell is in the process of completing a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management at High Point University. As a part of the graduate program, Campbell spent this past summer completing her practicum at BCH. She served in various capacities including assisting with the institution’s accreditation process and helping with an annual weeklong camp for developmentally disabled adults.
Since 1885, Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina has helped children and families in crisis. BCH began with one campus, Mills Home in Thomasville, but now provides services in communities across the state.
